Representing His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn, Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana graciously presided over the 36th Anniversary of the Southeast Asian (S.E.A.) Writers Award Presentation and Gala Dinner at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Bangkok.
MR Sukhumbhand Paribatra, Governor of Bangkok and Chairman of the S.E.A. Write Award Organizing Committee, along with Mrs. Petchpring Sarasin, THAI Vice President of Corporate Image & Communications, representing Thai Airways International as a founding member of the Southeast Asian Writers Award (S.E.A. Write Award), participated in the ceremony that recognizes award winners from 10 Southeast Asian countries on their achievements in literature.
The S.E.A. Write Award has been presented annually since its creation in 1979 with the aim to encourage writers in ASEAN countries through recognition of the region’s creative literary talents in poetry, short stories, novels, plays, folklore, and scholarly and religious works. The award ceremony was attended by more than 300 distinguished guests, including ambassadors, senior diplomatic corps members, leading personalities from the literary, business and social circles, and past Thai S.E.A. Write awardees, as well as leading local and international media representatives.
