BEC-Tero True Visions (BTTV), a joint venture company formed by Thailand's largest pay TV operator True Visions and the country's largest concert and live events promoter BEC-Tero - organiser of Bangkok Comic Con, and SOZO, a Japanese Pop Culture events and management company in Singapore and the organiser of Anime Festival Asia, have announced partnership plans to jointly develop popular culture events in Thailand and the region starting in 2015.
Plans for 2015 include jointly organising South-east Asia’s largest popular culture festival in Bangkok in April, and a similar project in Indonesia. The announcement was made recently during a press preview of Anime Festival Asia 2014, a Singapore-grown regional festival of Japanese Popular Culture and Anime.
BTTV and SOZO will be partnering to co-locate the secondBangkok Comic Con and the firstever AFA Thailand (AFA TH) in Bangkok. The two events will form South-east Asia’s largest Pop Culture Event that will encompass multiple facets of Popular Culture content. Bringing the best of East and Western Popular Culture under one roof, Bangkok Comic Con will focus on introducing Hollywood, Western and Asian content, while Anime Festival Asia will focus on delivering premium Japanese Popular Culture content.
Both companies are also finalising dates to bring this concept to Indonesia – with the inaugural Jakarta Comic Con by BTTV, which will be staged next to AFA Indonesia 2015. The potential collaboration would be the largest Pop Culture event in Indonesia to date.

Bangkok Comic Con 2015 and Anime Festival Asia Thailand 2015 will take place at Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC) from 30 April– 3 May 2015. Details for Anime Festival Asia Indonesia 2015 X Jakarta Comic Con 2015 will be announced at a later date.
