ASIATIQUE THE RIVERFRONT, the first lifestyle complex on the banks of the Chao Phraya River and the largest of its kind in Asia, is joining Chang, Mekhong, EST, 7-Eleven, Oppo and Kasikornbank to host the huge national countdown event, sending off the year in style, and returning happiness to the people on the bend of the river. Called ‘Chang Presents Asiatique Thailand Countdown 2015’, the event is for locals and foreigners to ring in 2015 together, and experience a concert by leading Thai artists such as “Grand-Gun-Hunz”, “Tu Pobtorn”, “Pop Pongkool”, “Lipta”, “Wan Thanakrit”, “Flure” and “Room 39”, along with a packed line-up of hot stars. Also, the event will include the best fireworks display from the middle of the Chao Phraya River on 31 December 2014. The event begins from 17.00 onwards at ASIATIQUE PARK, ASIATIQUE THE RIVERFRONT; it will be broadcast live on Thai TV Channel 3 from 23.30 to 00.30 hours.
Mr. Surasit Manawatanakij, General Manager, ASIATIQUE THE RIVERFRONT, revealed that the countdown event hosted by ASIATIQUE in the past 2 years enjoyed a great reception from both Thai and foreign visitors. As such, the third annual countdown will now take place to ring in 2015; it will be a national-level countdown that represents a landmark event to bestow the power of happiness to all. Called “Chang Presents Asiatique Thailand Countdown 2015”, the huge event allows all its participants to send off the year and celebrate 2015 together in a very memorable way, along with partners such as Mekhong, EST, 7-Eleven, Oppo, Kasikornbank and Thai TV Channel 3.
“ASIATIQUE estimates that this function will include up to 300,000 participants. Of course, we are prepared in all aspects, and we have the cooperation of more than 2,000 shops and restaurants, who have decorated their stores and prepared promotions accordingly, focusing on value and happiness for all the visitors. This year, we have brought all the hot artists to our venue, including “Grand-Gun-Hunz”, “Tu Pobtorn”, “Pop Pongkool”, “Lipta”, “Wan Thanakrit”, “Flure” and “Room 39”, along with a packed line-up of stars. There will also be a spectacular fireworks display to add flavor to the party and beauty to the night sky over the Chao Phraya River. As for activities throughout the development, we have created decorative and festive light displays, as well as launched an international food and drink festival that guarantees visitors will enjoy a delicious, quality experience in one spot. Another highlight that is not to be missed is the “ASIATIQUE Sky”, a giant Ferris wheel that is 60 meters higher. Overlooking the river, the romantic atmosphere is truly unforgettable. The first 30 participants will qualify for a special prize; the activity is open to all throughout the month of December.
