Bangkok Bank President Chartsiri Sophonpanich (6th from left), together with senior executives and Bangkok Bank (China) Chief Executive Officer Suwatchai Songwanich (right), welcomed speakers and more than 60 investors from ASEAN countries as honored guests at the ‘Bangkok Bank Brings ASEAN to Shanghai’ seminar in Shanghai, the People's Republic of China. The guests were able to hear about the Chinese government’s economic measures and network with local business people. The bank is supporting customers and investors interested in doing business in China and helping them to benefit from the opportunities provided by the Shanghai Free Trade Zone (FTZ) established by the Chinese government. Bangkok Bank (China) has five branches – in Shanghai, Beijing, Xiamen, Shenzhen and Chongqing – and recently received approval from the Chinese government to operate its 6th branch, in the Shanghai FTZ, which will open in the first quarter of 2015.
