TNT is stepping up its services in Europe with the construction of a new international depot in Eindhoven (Netherlands) and the start of air services to Hanover (Germany). Both developments are part of the company’s strategy to invest in its core European network, enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
“Today, TNT is leading in the European road network sector. This improvement in our service capability will be a key driver for our customers who are shipping to and from Europe reaffirming our leadership position on this key trade lane,” said Michael Drake, regional managing director of Asia, Middle East and Africa (AMEA), TNT.
In Eindhoven, TNT has broken ground on its new 6,350 square meter depot in November 2014 and completion is expected in June 2015. The facility will feature state-of-the-art sorting and loading equipment, and loading docks for vans and trucks enhancing TNT's capability to handle increased volumes of parcels and freight across north-western Europe.
Hanover is a convenient gateway to northern Germany, The daily overnight flight from Liege to Hanover Langenhagen Airport enables delivery of urgent shipments to the region before 9:00 am. In the same way, flights from Hanover to Liege depart Hanover every night, allowing for late collections in northern Germany and next-day delivery all over Europe. These services will particularly benefit automotive and industrial companies that rely on time-critical exports and imports.
