Thailand’s major product exhibition hosted by Department of International Trading Promotion, with more than 300 million baht’s worth of products. The event aims to attract traders from neighboring countries to welcome AEC and return happiness to Thai people.
Department of International Trading Promotion, Ministry of Commerce, is organizing Made in Thailand in Focus exhibition in order to welcome the AEC. Thai businesses can meet buyers from neighboring countries in this event. The concept is “Bring Thainess to the World”, with more than 300 million baht’s worth of products exhibited in this event. The exhibition will return happiness to Thai people, from January 28 to February 1, 2015 at BITEC Bang Na.
After a two-year gap, DITP is bringing back Made in Thailand exhibition for the 26th time, under the name Made in Thailand in Focus. The goal of the event is to promote exporters and businesses who are ready for export, and to promote international trade, focusing on Asean countries and neighboring countries to promote cross-border trading. This is an aggressive strategy on the government’s behalf to welcome the AEC around the end of 2015. The event will help strengthen Thai businesses and Thai products in the international and Asean market, bringing Asean countries together as a single market.
DITP Director General Nantawan?Sakuntanak said, “Made in Thailand in Focus is a revival of the Made in Thailand exhibition. Formerly, it was a retail exhibition to promote domestic consumption and raise awareness about Thainess. This time, it is more of a business negotiation platform, which can help Thai exporters tremendously. We focus on buyers from neighboring countries to welcome the AEC. The concept of the event is Bring Thainess to the World. We want to raise awareness about Thai products among our neighboring countries, using the slogan “admire” as our core strategy. In the past, Thai products have been well-received by our neighboring countries. In this exhibition, new Thai brands can introduce their products to the regional market.”
Made in Thailand in Focus will take place from January 28 to February 1, 2015 (for both B2B and retail sale), five days in total, at EH101-EH104 hall, BITEC Bang Na. There will be over 1,000 booths from Thai producers, exporters, andwholesalers, on over 19,200 sq m of space. There are seven categories, namely 1. Food and beverages 2. Furniture and home décor 3. Fashion 4. Health and beauty 5. Industrial products such as electrical appliances and motoring parts 6. Spa, massages, and franchises 7. Logistics. The exhibition targets domestic and international buyers, tourists, and buyers from department stores, cash & carry stores, hypermarkets and supermarkets from around the world, particularly in Asean. There are also other events such as Thai export products exhibition, business matching zone, and consultancy services at DITP Service Center.“DITP expects that there will be more than 3,000 buyers, both domestic and international, from 16 countries in the Asean Plus group, which are Japan, Korea, India, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, Brunei, Nepal, Oman, Peru, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Egypt, Russia, Australia, South Africa, Poland, UK, Europe, and Dubai.
