Spice Up Your Valentines at the Blue Elephant Restaurant Enjoy an Exciting, Limited Time Menu Inspired By the Famous Spices of Thailand
Celebrate Valentine’s Day this year at the Blue Elephant Restaurant where Chef Nooror has created a tantalizing menu that promises to turn up the heat using local spices from four regions of Thailand.
For this year’s Valentine’s set menu, Chef Nooror drew inspiration from a poem written by King Rama II titled, “For the love of Massaman” which depicts the king’s love for the renowned Thai dish as well as the woman who cooks it for him.
Of course diners will have a chance to taste the famous massaman curry, but first begin with hors d'oeuvre of foie gras with passion fruit and strawberry along with rose dumpling.
For starter, enjoy a seafood sorbet, laab tuna, and grilled river prawns with strawberry. A special dish in this course is the Mah Auan – steamed minced chicken, crab meat and foie gras, a recipe which hails from the ancient Rattanakosin period of Thailand.
Then it’s either spicy consume beef soup or tom yum ginseng, both of which are packed with enticing spices to make you feel warm and fuzzy inside.
A homemade sherbet with tangerine and champagne will help to cleanse the palate for the next dishes.
For main course, diners will have a choice of Massaman beef curry, Crab soufflé with black wild ginger, Grilled snow fish sweet tamarind sauce, Stir fried spicy Thai scallop.
Perfectly paired accompaniments of Stir fried roots & celery and Black wild ginger & passion fruit relish will also be served.
When it’s time for dessert, be delighted by pressed Thai banana topped with coconut milk and honey sauce and Ginger chocolate mousse and royal jelly.
This Valentines set menu is priced at THB 3,296 (2,800++) per person or THB 5,885 (5,000++) per couple. All prices are inclusive of 10% service charge and applicable government tax.
