International Valentine’s Day gastronomy by Head Chef Vorapoj Christian Caluwaert, protégé of the renowned Alain Ducasse legend

Enjoy cuisine prepared especially for Valentine’s Day by Head Chef Vorapoj Christian Caluwaert, protégé of the legendary Alain Ducasse network of restaurants.
Maverick’s raison d'être on its first ever Valentine’s is to make this occasion accessible to all; this means great menus running from 5:30pm to 11pm (last orders) for just 1,300 Baht ++ per person, and 2,700 Baht ++ per person with inclusive wine pairings.
Caluwaert’s presentations include amuse bouche with welcome drink, starters of Preserved Duck with gelée structure, onions and mushrooms and toasted bread, and Pumpkin Flan with sea scallop, chestnuts and saffron emulsion (both paired to Chablis François Martenot Les Marouettes 2010, Bourgogne). Mains are Lamb Saddle, espelette pimento, tomato-eggplant marmalade and baby garden vegetables jus (paired with Châteauneuf-Du-Pape Coserie Des Papes 2007, Rhône Valley), or Snowfish fillet, bisque velouté, truffle scent and fennel fondant, with more of that delectable 2010 Chablis to partner.
Maverick is renowned for its beautiful and painstakingly presented desserts, with Valentines no exception – finish the evening with chocolate dessert (a special creation by Chef Vorapoj which is yet to be revealed), and a superb young Bordeaux, the Sauternes Mascaron Ginestet 2012.
