Thai bourse initiates “Pan Hoon Aom Boon” (Donating Shares to Charity project) for The Sai Jai Thai Foundation

Bangkok--16 Feb--SET The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), takes further steps into its fifth decade by launching “Pan Hoon Aom Boon” (Donating Shares to Charity project) project, encouraging investors to donate their shares to The Sai Jai Thai Foundation under Royal Patronage. This is considered part of the social-related activities to improve the living condition of the people and the society as a whole. Investors who are interested in donating their shares can donate by contacting SET or brokerage firms from now on. SET President Kesara Manchusree said that SET has been committed to promoting various corporate and individual social responsibilities projects. In line with SET’s initiatives for the fifth decade of operation, SET has implemented the “Pan Hoon Aom Boon” project, encouraging investors to donate their shares to charity namely The Sai Jai Thai Foundation under Royal Patronage, a key non-profit organization that aims at promoting the well-being of the Thai people. This will finally enhance the Thai economy and society for sustainable growth regarding environmental, social and corporate governance aspects. “Donating shares to charity can be considered a new choice for giving to charity and society. Investors can donate from the smallest amount of one share or more. In launching this project, SET has cooperated with listed companies and brokerage firms to effectively promote among investors,” added Kesara. Investors who are interested in donating their shares can download donation application from www.set.or.th or www.tsd.co.th , and then send the application via their brokerage firms or send to Thailand Securities Depository Co., Ltd.
