After intense matches since the start of the “24th AirAsia Youth Volleyball Under 14 Championship 2014” for a Royal Cup bestowed by Her Royal Highness Princess Ubolratana on 24 December 2014 with AirAsia as the main sponsor, boys and girls youth volleyball teams representing schools from across the country were able to secure their places in the championship match today (18 February 2015) at the gymnasium of the Thung Song Municipal Office in Thung Song district of Nakhon Si Thammarat.
In the Men’s Category Saraburi Wittayakom School took the championship, winning over Nawamintara Chutismachanim of Nakhon Sawan 3-0 sets. In the Women’s Category Municipal 3 Wat Chainawas School of Suphanburi took the championship from Nakhon Non Wittayakom Athletic School 6 with a score of 3-1 sets.
At today’s (18 February 2015) AirAsia Youth Volleyball Under 14 Championship, star veterans of Thailand’s famous Women’s National Volleyball Team “Nhong” Pluemjit Thingkaow, “Pure” Ajcharaporn Kongyos, “Nan” Taddao Nuekchaeng, “Plawan” Piyanuch Paennoi as well as Coach “Od” Kiatipong Rachatakriengkrai and members of the Thailand Volleyball Association also took part, traveling via AirAsia flight FD 3188 from Bangkok to Nakhon Si Thammarat to cheer on the up and coming athletes looking to one day join the national team.
