Mr.Vatanarak Suranartyuth, Director of Law Enforcement Extension Office, ASEAN-WEN joined forces operation with the Department of Forestry, Nong Hin Sheriff Office and the Internal Security Operations Command of Loei Province, total of 150 government official are on this operation. This special unit arrested and repossessed forest products at Phu Kho and Phu Katair, National Forest area of more than one thousand acres at Ban Pha Wai, Moo3, Tambon Puan Phu, Amphoe Nong Hin, Loei Province, Thailand.
Mr.Teerapat Prayurasiddhi, Director General of Forestry Department said “This operates is to protect the forest from privacy taken, return the forests compromised in possession and the property of the collective capitalist refunded. The operation has been focus in 4 areas at Loei Province and the capitalist invasions grow the rubber tree ages 1 year and up until the first cut. Invasion of the capitalists who took land from villagers in the area and found the natural forests are gradually being removed.”
Royal Forest Department (RFD) has examined, seizure and arrested because these areas are located in the National Forest and wildlife sanctuaries. For the forest synchronize, RFD will contact Nong Hin sheriff office and local communities to establish a community forest for people to take control and indirect benefits.
These areas are new invasion and it is not in the proceedings. It must be inhibit, otherwise the watershed and streams will be lost. Communities need to get involved to protect the forest. In additional, not only rubber trees have been found, other perennial plants and also found the intrusion of capitalism major resort.
