KTC held a press conference makes an important move in the major provinces across the country. The latest effort has seen the firm’s marketing campaign in Chiang Mai to work with four popular restaurants : The Good View Bar and Restaurant, The Good View Village Restaurant and Karaoke, Warm Up Café and E’norme House of Beers to offer members 10% discount throughout the year and 50% discount on KTC Signature Dish, as well as to work on the “Ohayo Go Japan with KTC Credit Card” campaign where members can win travel package prizes worth over 480,000 Baht from now to May 31st, 2015. The press conference took place recently at The Good View Village Restaurant and Karaoke.
Mrs. Pittaya Vorapanyasakul, Executive Vice President - Credit Card Business, “KTC” or Krungthai Card Public Company Limited, reveals that KTC has been using proactive strategies in the provinces since early 2014. Our goal is to expand our member base and increase spending via credit cards. The marketing campaign was designed to cover 14 key provinces across the country, namely Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lumpang, Nakhonratchasima, Konkaen, Udonthani, Ubolratchathani, Chonburi, Rayong, Songkla, Phuket, Suratthani, Prachuabkirikhan and Petchaburi. These provinces have combined credit card spending of 25,000 Million Baht per year or 20% of all spending. Therefore, for the year 2015, we will be even more active in the regions, beginning with a marketing campaign in Chiang Mai which we deem to be one of the provinces with largest economic growth in terms of real property, hotels, department stores and restaurants. Chiang Mai is also a destination popular among domestic tourists. This is reflected in the clear growth of credit card spending in Chiang Mai, with the tendency to grow continuously.
As Chiang Mai is a tourist destination, credit card spending at restaurants is an important category for us. We have partnered with four Chiang Mai restaurants which are popular among locals and visitors: The Good View Bar and Restaurant, The Good View Village Restaurant and Karaoke, Warm Up Café and E’norme House of Beers. This campaign from now to May 31st, 2015 is called ‘Ohayo Go Japan with KTC Credit card’ and it gives KTC members the chance to win travel package to Japan. These four prizes are worth collectively 480,000 Baht. The campaign corresponds with the lifestyle of members who like to dine out and enjoy the evening. It gives them the perception of greater value when using KTC credit card.
Mr. Suwat Tepprechasakul, Vice President - Credit Card Business, “KTC” or Krungthai Card Public Company Limited, says, Under this ‘Ohayo Go Japan with KTC Credit Card’ campaign, KTC members can win one of the four prizes of travel package to Japan for two people to enjoy delicious cuisine, fresh fish from Tsukiji fish market and the "black eggs" with the superstition that eating one of eggs adds seven years to your lifespan, by paying for food and drinks with their KTC credit card at The Good View Bar and Restaurant, The Good View Village Restaurant and Karaoke, Warm Up Café and E’norme House of Beers. For every 500 Baht spent, members will be given one coupon for lucky draw. There will be one prize for each of the restaurants. And as a special offer, members will be entitled to 50% discount on KTC Signature Dish which is “Warm EBI” at Warm Up Café and “Mooko Ruemyard / Mojito drink” at E’norme House of Beers. Members get 10% on food at all of these four restaurants throughout the year as well.
Mrs. Pittaya says in conclusion, For Chiang Mai, we are confident that our marketing efforts will be met with good acceptance and eventually result in minimum 30% increase in credit card spending.
