KASIKORNBANK will hold an examination for 11 graduate scholarships of 2015 at both local and international institutions as a part of the Bank’s ambitions to strengthen its human resources. Applications are open from now until March 31, 2015.
Mr. Krit Jitjang, Executive Vice President of KASIKORNBANK, said that KBank is funding full graduate scholarships for 2015. Candidates will be required to sit an examination as part of the selection process at various institutions with details as follows:
Six international scholarships will be granted for institutions in the US, UK, Japan and People’s Republic of China, in master of business administration (MBA), finance, financial engineering or risk management programs, as well as IT management or management information systems (MIS), international business, legal and human resources courses.
Five local scholarships will be awarded for seven programs, comprising: 1) Master of Business Administration Program at Sasin Graduate Institution of Business Administration, Chulalongkorn University; 2) Master of Business Administration (English Program) at the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy, Chulalongkorn University; 3) Master of Science in Finance – English Program (MSF) at the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy, Chulalongkorn University; 4) Master of Science in Financial Engineering – English Program (MFE) at Commerce and Accountancy, Chulalongkorn University; 5) Master of Business Administration Program – International Program (IMBA) at Business School, Thammasat University; 6) Master of Science in Finance Program (MIF) at Business School, Thammasat University; and 7) Master of Science in Marketing (MIM), Business School, Thammasat University.
Eligible candidates must be Thai nationals and under 30 years old. They should hold at least an undergraduate degree in any discipline, with a GPA of at least 3.00. Applicants wishing to attend any courses abroad should have Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a total score of at least 80 on the Internet-based Test (iBT) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) scores with an overall band score of at least 6.0, and a total score of at least 550 of Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). Those who intend to study in Thailand should hold one of the following: TOEFL with a total score of at least 80 on iBT, IELTS with an overall band score of at least 6.0, Chulalongkorn University Test of English Proficiency (CU-TEP) of at least 75 points, or Thammasat University General English Test (TU-GET) of at least 550 points.
Candidates meeting all the above criteria will then be required to sit a written examination, after which they will be considered for a final interview with an honorary panel of judges. Successful applicants should enroll in courses within a year of being awarded a scholarship. Upon graduating, they should return to work at KBank.
