Abbot Restaurant & Bar announces the launch of the eagerly anticipated TABLE D'HÔTE Brunch on Sunday 22nd March, 2015. A magnificent rotating feast of over 13 courses, the TABLE D'HÔTE brunch is more a gastronomic occasion than just a meal and has been especially created to add a festive touch to make each weekend exceptional.
TABLE D'HÔTE is traditionally a complete meal of several courses offered at a fixed price. A concept from France, Abbot has recreated a contemporary and exciting version of this style of service with each freshly-prepared dish brought out course by course for guests to choose from. This unique moving feast is a festive showcase for Abbot’s delicious and creative cooking, drawing inspiration from California Cuisine and Modern American Classics, and utilizing the farm to table ethos whenever possible. Guests can look forward to such mouthwatering choices as Mini Crab Salad & Tomato, Steamed Mussels, Grilled Beef Steak, Grilled Prawns, Home Made Sausages, Bacon and Home Fries, Fettuccine Carbonara, Fried Fish Goujonettes, Doughnuts & Jelly and Cheesecake with strawberries & rhubarb.
Alternatively, guests seeking an a la carte option may opt out of the set menu but still enjoy an imaginative array of food with such dishes as Croissant French Toast with mangoes, pineapple and maple passion fruit sauce and whipped cream or Eggs Flamenca with chorizo, potato, peppers, grilled onion baked with eggs in a casserole, as well as delicious concoctions from the cocktail menu. The Sunday brunch is completed by the ambience with omelet station, live music from a duo of acoustic guitarists or pan drummers and activities for children to enjoy in the upstairs private dining room.
