Swiss-Belhotel International has signed 182-room Grand Swiss-Belhotel Batumi, Georgia in partnership with the Azerbaijan-based ADO-G Group of Companies. The hotel will include a 1300 sq m casino and open in 2016.
This global expansion will result in the leading hospitality management chain opening its debut Georgia hotel as it searches out new markets to impart its highly professional services.
Swiss-Belhotel International Chairman and President Mr. Gavin M. Faull, said: "The Grand Swiss-Belhotel Batumi will be the city's new address for luxury and entertainment. With a sky bar, speciality restaurants and tastefully developed rooms, it will provide this rapidly changing coastal city on the Black Sea with a unique and iconic 111m-high cubical structure."
Batumi is the capital of Adjara, an autonomous region in southwest Georgia and an important port and commercial centre. The city has been transformed in recent years by the construction of new high-rise landmark buildings and the renovation of the old town.
