Bangkok--7 Apr--Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok In no more than eight months since its opening, Attico has become a firm favourite among Bangkok’s astute diners. So too has it among the city’s food experts and restaurant critics: in that short time Attico has received no less than four major awards. When guests ascend to the 28th floor of Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok for a meal at Attico, they discern immediately why the name is so well chosen. The Italian “attico” translates into English as variously “penthouse” and “loft”. Both meanings fully apply at this elegant yet delightfully rustic setting. Now, reputation of the restaurant’s Tuscan-inspired food has likewise ascended to new heights. Along with recognition from in Bangkok’s Best Restaurant Awards 2014 by Bangkok Best Dining of the Bangkok Post’s BKK magazine, Attico has been included in Thailand Tatler magazine’s annual Best Restaurants publication for 2015. BK magazine, meanwhile, has chosen Attico as one of its BK Top Tables for 2015 in Bangkok. Furthermore, the Thai-Italian Chamber of Commerce has bestowed its own accolade, and they know a thing or two about Italian cuisine. As part of its Ospitalità Italiana Project, every year the chamber certifies the finest Italian restaurants outside of Italy. Attico is now on that list. Such wide-ranging recognition from respected food authorities is testament to Attico’s status as one of Bangkok’s premier Italian cuisine venues. Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok’s food and beverage director, Mr. Adam Beasley, concurs. “We are delighted to receive these awards and recognitions,” said Mr. Beasley. “That three publications and the Thai-Italian Chamber of Commerce have all agreed on Attico’s excellence is especially gratifying.” He added, “However, while it’s certainly a great feeling to win awards, staff members at Attico also know winning means having to work even harder to maintain the service standard that won awards in the first place. You can be sure Chef Dario Brusnelli will see that hard work gets done. Chef Dario is doing just. His menus change with Italy’s seasons and feature the finest homemade pasta, gnocchi, premium antipasto and prime imported meat and seafood. Attico also is renowned for its tempting displays of cured meats, artisanal cheeses and signature home-baked breads, while a well-stocked wine cellar holds an extensive selection of Italian vintages including rare Tuscan wines, as well as numerous Old and New World varieties.
