Bangkok--10 Apr--RS The heated competition in the digital TV industry seems to be getting even hotter in the second quarter of the year. Channel 8 is confident that it is on the right path, seeing instant success within a month of programme adjustment. Its rating has skyrocketed ever since, reaching 200,000 viewers per minute. Channel 8 is partnering with Caltex gas station to organize an activity for the Songkran festival. For its programmes, two dramas Likay Mad Sang and Ploeng Pai are soon to be launched, while football lover will soon get to enjoy La Liga live broadcast of major matches during the long holidays. Channel 8 is confident its rating will reach number 3 of the country by the end of the year, bagging more than 1.9 billion baht. The overall rating of analog tv channels has dropped continuously since last year. Channel 8 Digital TV has prepared new content and exclusive content for various occasions this Songkran season, during which many viewers will have time to be home and watch TV. It is joining hands with business partners to organize events to raise brand recognition for Channel 8 among the general public.
