กรุงเทพฯ--16 เม.ย.--thanaburin Qantas Economy customers can now enjoy a new inflight dining offering, set to re-define their travel experience on flights between Thailand and Australia. Launched on 1 March on Qantas’ Bangkok flights, the new experience allows customers to enjoy a wider choice of meals, fifty per cent larger servings and faster service. Qantas International Head of Customer Experience & Creative Development, Kylie Morris, said the dining experience has set a new standard for the five million Economy customers travelling across the airline’s international network each year. “We have worked closely with leading producers and suppliers to deliver what we believe to be the best inflight economy dining experience offered by any international carrier,” said Ms Morris. “The new menu offers more generous meals and an increase from two to four meal options. We also have new meal categories, including a healthy option, comfort food and a meal inspired by the route itself, such as Stir fried tofu, black funghi, rice noodles and soy bean on our Bangkok flights. “We have extended our Select on Q Eat service to Economy passengers enabling them to pre-order their meal online with access to an exclusive dish as the fourth dish. “Together with new serving plates, which remove the need for trays, our crew are able to serve and clear meals up to 30 minutes faster giving them more time to interact and assist passengers,” added Ms Morris. This season’s menu for flights from Bangkok to Sydney, Australia offers customers the choice of the following options: Slow cooked beef and mushroom ragoût, rigatoni, carrots and green beans Chu-chee curry of sea bream with jasmine rice and stir fried kai lan Chicken larb salad with glass noodles and vegetables On the return, Hokkien noodles and vegetable dumplings, Weis ice cream and fresh fruit are among the continuous grazing options. Shortly after take-off passengers will be served a welcome drink from Australian cordial supplier Bickford’s signature range, featuring flavours exclusive to Qantas such as Lemon & Elderflower, and Pink Grapefruit.“In delivering the new service Qantas engages with local suppliers in each region to source the freshest produce and deliver a range of diverse dishes inspired by the destination,” said Ms Morris. A team of Qantas food and beverage experts spent 12 months researching and developing the new menu and service, speaking with customers, visiting local producers and suppliers and researching food and dining trends. Trials were run on a number of international flights and customer satisfaction on those flights almost doubled, hitting record highs. Select on Q-Eat is available on flights departing Australia, and will be introduced progressively on inbound flights from Bangkok to Sydney in coming months.
