The National Discovery Museum Institute-NDMI led by its Director-General Mr. Rames Promyen recently organized the event at Terminal 21 to introduce the ‘Muse Pass 2015’ under the theme “Fun is in trend, Entry to 32 museums and learning centers across the nation”. The ‘Muse Pass’ is an economical way to visit to 32 locations of exciting museums and multiple learning centers across the nation. A “Muse Pass” is only 199 Baht contains 32 entry coupons for visiting 32 museums and learning centers, until December 2015.

Mr. Rames Promyen, Director - General of the National Discovery Museum Institute, said ‘the Muse Pass is one of the successful activities under the Building of a Cultural Tourism in Museum and Learning Center Project of NDMI and it has been organized by NDMI for 3 consecutive years. It is a collaboration among the government and private museums and learning center owners who have a joint idea to foster Thai people, especially young generations to be more interested in travelling to museums. Moreover, we expect them to enhance their understanding to create a sustainable learning society and cultural tourism in museums and learning centers.’
The “Muse Pass 2015” under the theme “Fun is in trend, Entry to 32 museums and learning centers across the nation”, will empower people, especially, young generations to create a value of cultural tourism. Traveling to museum is more than just a vacation, but it is an opportunity to explore excellent educational powerhouse and witness in the fun way.
Currently, there are many museums and learning centers offering a well establishment of learning standard and presenting by creative activities and technology in order to persuade the visitors to have fun and enjoy the learning at museums and learning centers. The museum has been a learning center and a reflection of the country’s heritage and development. It unfolds the history from the ancient time up to the present days and reveals idea, belief, taste, and way of life of each country. Museums in the developing countries have been perceived as a potential development resource offering many benefits that can shape the future. To build the value of cultural tourism and the future of learning through museums and learning centers, the Muse Pass offers an access to explore 24 museums and multiple learning centers in Bangkok. In addition, other 8 museum networks located in up-country - Chiang Mai, Khon Khan, Phitsanulok, Lopburi, Ayutthaya, Samut Songkram and Phuket also join the Muse Pass program.
The Muse Pass offers an access to explore 32 participated museums and learning centers. 24 locations are in Bangkok including Museum Siam, NSM Science Square, Rattanakosin Exhibition Hall, Phya Thai Palace, Bangkok Folk’s Museum, Sam Sen Nai Philatelic Museum, Police Museum Parusakawan Palace, King Prajadhipok Museum, Thai Film Museum, Science Museum, Natural History Museum, Information Technology Museum, Siriraj Museum, Thai PBS Museum, 3 Silapa Rattanakosin Resource Center-SSRU, Krungthai Art Gallery, Ratchadamnoen Contemporary Art Center –RCAC, The Queen’s Gallery, Department Of Lands Museum, National Aviation Museum of The Royal Thai Airforce, Southeast Asian Ceramics Museum, Thai Waterworks Discovery Museum and Batcat Museum & Toys Thailand.
In addition, 8 museum networks in up-country joining the program including Tanland and SACICT Gallery in Ayutthaya, Khonkaen Philatelic Museum in Khon Kaen, Sgt.Maj.Thawee Folk Museum in Phitsanulok, Phuket Thaihua Museum in Phuket, Sub-Jumpa Museum in Lopburi, Siam Insect Museum in Chiang Mai and King Rama II Memorial Park in Samut Songkram.
A Muse Pass ticket is only 199 Baht and available now at Museum Siam and the participated museums and learning centers until October 31, 2015 (except King Prajadhipok Museum, Krungthai Art Gallery, Ratchadamnoen Contemporary Art Center –RCAC, SACICT Gallery). The ticket can be used until December 2015.
