with the aim to provide top quality international education in Bangkok
Ms. Nusara (Assakul) Banyatpiyaphod, Chairman of Hands Management Company Limited, proudly announced the official launch of “Brighton College Bangkok”, a premium international school under the same brand as the UK’s top independent school in Brighton, England. Brighton College’s students are widely known as scholars who have achieved exceptional academic results, and the school itself has received remarkable awards including “The school everybody’s talking about” from Tatler magazine, and “The UK Independent School of the Year 2013-2014” as well as “Britain’s most forward thinking school” from The Week magazine. The main concept of its ethos is to inspire students to become the best version of themselves and to instill within them the love of learning through enthusiasm. Brighton College Bangkok will be Brighton College’s first sister school in Asia Pacific and it will be constructed on a 44-rai campus located in Krungthep Kreetha district. It will be partially opened for pupils aged 2 to 8 in August 2016 and for pupils aged 8 and upwards from 2017, offering IGCSEs and A-levels.
Brighton College is renowned for its innovative vision, preparing its pupils for the world of the future. The Brighton College Curriculum will be offered at Brighton College Bangkok, adapting to Thai culture and values while maintaining its international standards. With its 167-year-old history as one ofEngland’s longstanding and highly regarded schools, Brighton College continues to keep up with global trends and set educational standards high in order to prepare its pupils for the modern world. Having realized early on the economic rise and cultural shift towards Asia, Brighton College was the first school in UK to make Mandarin a compulsory course from the age of 3.
Ms. Nusara (Assakul) Banyatpiyaphod, Chairman of Hands Management Company Limited, said “I am highly honored to bring the best education from the world’s leading school to our home country. The main reason that we decided to choose Brighton College is because of the school’s inspirational visions as well as unique teaching methods. ‘Inspirational teaching’ is the key to students’ success as it encourages children to think beyond borders with the support from their instructors. Our teachers are well educated, passionate and energetic, which will enhance classroom relationships and eventually lead to a better performance in both teaching and learning.”
“Brighton College believes that the principle of ‘learning by doing’ is the most effective method for students to grow and excel. By having hands-on experiences, the students will be able to cultivate appreciation of their skills as well as an appreciation for themselves. The school’s main objective is to support children in discovering their own abilities and passions, as every person is unique in their own way. Being excellent inBrighton’s way, however, does not merely refer to academic performance, but also the ability be the best version of oneself in the way their talents lead them to be”, added Ms. Nusara.
Along with the opening of the ASEAN Economic Community this year, the fact that there is much competition in the education industry in Thailand and abroad, will likely create an exceptional opportunity for an international school business in Thailand. Brighton College Bangkok aims to be the leading choice for expatriates, along with Thai families who are looking for top quality international education for their children. The launch of this renowned international school will undoubtedly have a positive effect on education inThailand and the economy of the country as a whole.
