CS LoxInfo (CSL) announced the consolidated profit for 1Q2015 was Baht 82 million or Baht 0.14 per share, a decrease of baht 14 million or 15% over 4Q2014 (Baht 96 million) due to a decrease of profit from the operation of Voice & Mobile Content Business. This was resulted from customers had changed their behavior spending to use more voice calls than other content usages and in parallel with, the softening economy and lower purchasing power. Thus, it affected to a decreased in the overall performance for this quarter.
Moreover, CSL reported a net profit of the separated financial statement for 1Q2015 was Baht 58 million or Baht 0.10 per share, roughly equivalent to that in the same period of last year (1Q2014). This was resulted from an operating cost of new data center building to serve the future growth.
For the year 2015, CSL plans to focus on driving sales of ICT products, which comprises of internet connection services, cloud computer services, and data center services etc. Moreover, CSL has started offering the high-speed internet services in some specific areas. The first phase trial serves as the condominium in Sukhumvit (approximately 50 condominiums). If it has a good response, CSL will expand more investment in this service.
