‘Namthip’, the ‘thinking water’ brand of The Coca-Cola system in Thailand, led by Ms. Prapaipak Weigl (4th from right), Marketing Manager of Coca-Cola (Thailand) Limited and ‘RAKNAM’, Coca-Cola’s water stewardship project, led by Mr. Dhongchai Siridhara (3rd from right), Director of the Coca-Cola Foundation (Thailand) recently held ‘RAKNAM with Namthip’ volunteer activity to raise awareness of the importance of water conservation and management for local communities. This activity coincided with the launch of Namthip’s new series of labels that encourages the community and consumers to be part of the brand’s water replenishment commitment with the Coca-Cola Foundation Thailand.
For every bottle of Namthip drinking water purchased, Coca-Cola will return the same amount of water back to Thai communities and nature. This commitment is in response to the brand’s water stewardship program to safely return to communities and nature the amount of water equivalent to the production by 2020. In addition, Coca-Cola will be holding ‘RAKNAM with Namthip’ volunteer activities at RAKNAM sites nationwide throughout the year, with the most recent activity building solar powered water system to store and distribute clean water at Ban Tah Sawan community, Manjakiri District, Khon Kaen Province.
