Bangkok--12 May--Francom Asia
Cycling seems to have taken Thailand by storm, with the number of amateur and recreational bikers on the rise over the last few years.
On the streets of Bangkok, more and more bikers have been appearing, especially with the introduction of pun-pun, the green self-service bikes for rent, courtesy of the city government. Also, the addition of dedicated biking lanes in some of the city’s main arteries has made it feel somewhat safer to venture out along the big avenues.
Specialty shops have sprouted in different neighborhoods while bike-themed fairs and exhibits have been gracing the most modern malls and open spaces, offering everything from top-of-the-line specialist bikes to the coolest and fanciest accessories.
Successful biking secret: strong muscles and healthy bones
You may be all set with the lightest and sexiest biking outfits, and equipped with the flashiest gadgets to make you look like a Tour de France competitor, but is your body ready?
Aside from endurance, having healthy bones and muscle power is another basic secret for successful cycling. Our bones are important because they have many roles: produce blood cells, protect organs, help maintain calcium in our body, and form a complicated system of support to enable our muscles to move. We must not neglect the importance of keeping our bones healthy.
