Bangkok--29 May--KAsset
Kasikorn Asset Management Co., Ltd. (KAsset) now offers the K Global Income Fund (K-GINCOME) to high net worth individuals, with investments diversified in assets globally including high-dividend stocks, debt instruments, high-yield bonds, and real estate investment trusts (REITs). Regular payouts are up to 12 times a year, while minimum investment is 550,000 Baht. Initial public offering period is scheduled from June 2 to 8.
According to Mr. Navin Intharasombat, KAsset First Senior Vice President, KAsset will introduce K-GINCOME from June 2 to 8, with a policy of investing in a popular master fund: J.P. Morgan Investment Funds – Global Income Fund, Class A (mth) – EUR, with over 500 billion Baht in assets (data as of April 30, 2015, by J.P. Morgan Asset Management). The master fund is managed by J.P. Morgan Asset Management, one of the globe’s leading fund managers. It is K-GINCOME’s policy to hedge against foreign exchange risk during any accounting year by at least 75 percent of total foreign investment.
“Investing in a single asset may not generate regular returns under an acceptable risk appetite. K-GINCOME, therefore, has become an investment alternative perfect for those who seek such income through a mutual fund. Moreover, it offers an investment opportunity to generate regular, attractive returns in all economic conditions, even in times of market volatility, thanks to the Fund’s diverse investments in assets worldwide, particularly those with regular payouts, e.g., high-dividend stocks, non-investment grade high-yield bonds, and REITs. The Fund is outstanding in portfolio adjustment which is flexible in tandem with changing investment climate,” Mr. Navin said.
To get such regular returns, K-GINCOME has chosen to invest in a master fund with investments diversified among more than 1,500 assets globally, with a focus on assets having regular payouts, e.g., debt instruments, convertible debentures, preferred stocks, high-dividend stocks, REITs, and other global assets, including those in emerging markets. Moreover, the master fund is excellent in its flexible portfolio adjustment, which is in tandem with changing economic conditions. With expertise in individual asset types worldwide and average experience of fund manager team members of more than 30 years, the master fund has consistently posted good performance with regular payouts. The master fund’s average 1-year return is 7.4 percent, while its average 3-year and 5-year returns are 9 percent and 7.7 percent, respectively (data as of April 30, 2015).
K-GINCOME is suitable for investors who wish to gain regular payouts from medium- and long-term investments, while appropriate portfolio adjustment is made by experts. Automatic redemptions are allowed not more than 12 times per year, at the discretion of the Fund’s manager. The Fund is fit for those who have high risk appetite, given that its investments involve high-risk and complex instruments. Thus, its investment units are offered to non-retail and high net worth individual investors. Minimum investment is 550,000 Baht.
