Showcasing Thai talent in a powerful combination of traditional culture, art and the latest technology, RS stars perform the opening act at the inaugural YouTube FanFest show in Bangkok
RS stars Kratae R-siam, Kratai R-siam and Timethai made history by opening the first-ever YouTube FanFest in Thailand last night with a never before seen performance, inspired by and created exclusively for their YouTube fans.
YouTube FanFest is a live show that brought together some of YouTube's biggest global creators, Thai stars and up-and-coming Thai talent on stage at Bangkok’s Muang Thai .. Central World for the first time. Last night’s inaugural show, attended by over 1000 fans, was kicked off by non other than RS stars who performed a unique blend of traditional Thai music, dance and culture.
Kratae R-Siam and Kratai R-Siam, two sisters, have successfully built huge fan followings across the country as a result of their unique music style which combines traditional folk singing with a modern twist. These stars have also become online sensations: Kratae R-Siam’s “Tued” now has more that 50 million views on YouTube while Kratae R-Siam latest single “Meri,” which blends a traditional singing style called “Lae” with Electronic Dance Music, has also generation more than 30 million views on the same platform.
Dharmthai Plangsilp, also known as Timethai, has also built loyal online fanbase since being discovered as the first winner of “Dancing with the star Thailand.” Well-loved as one of Thailand’s biggest pop stars, as well as for his talent as a choreographer and singer, Timethai’s first single hit “The Hidden Line” already has over 40 million views on YouTube so far.
