Dacon Inspection Services Co. Ltd. recently passed a Full Member audit for the International Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA), permitting them to act as fully certified IRATA Operator & Trainer in Thailand.
IRATA, the Industrial Rope Access Trade Association, was formed in the UK in the late 1980’s, to solve maintenance problems in the offshore oil and gas industry.
IRATA is now recognised as the world’s leading authority on industrial rope access. It has over 350 member companies around the world and has trained in excess of 74,000 rope access technicians worldwide.
The prestigious membership makes Dacon one of the first fully certified IRATA Operator & Trainers in Thailand.
Dacon has been actively involved in providing rope access inspection services and training courses throughout the region with the company’s first rope access training course being held by Dacon Training Institute (DTI) on the 14th February 2014. Since then DTI has trained almost 100 internal and external staff including engineers, technicians and inspectors.

Dacon’s training facilities at the companies headquarter in Ban Chang, Rayong include a 10 metre high rope access tower built at the end of 2013. Rope access training courses by DTI are available on a roughly bi-monthly basis and take about 5 days to complete.
To further cement it’s position as a forerunner in rope access and industrial safety in Southeast-Asia, Dacon recently entered a partnership with Skylotec Germany, a market leader in the field of fall protection and expert in height safety innovation and technology.
