'Namthip', drinking water brand of The Coca-Cola system in Thailand, led by Mr. Nuntivat Thamhatai (2nd from right), Public Affairs and Communications Director of Coca-Cola (Thailand) Limited, and 'RAKNAM', Coca-Cola's water stewardship project, led by Mr. Dhongchai Siridhara (far right),Director of the Coca-Cola Foundation Thailand, recently held 'RAKNAM with Namthip' volunteer activity together with Utokapat Foundation Under Royal Patronage of H.M. The King, led by Mr. Theera Saratant (4thfrom right), Water Management Consultant, Pathum Thani local government and 480 Coca-Cola's Positive Energy volunteers to encourage water conservation and management for local communities by dredging 150 meter in Klong 12, disposing water hyacinth plants, planting 20,000 vetiver grasses to enhance water drainage efficiency and preventing bank erosion along the canal. The activity, which was held at Klong Rangsit community, Nhong Sua District, Pathum Thani province, benefits 300 families in two villages and 1,200 Rai of agricultural area.
This year Namthip launched a new series of labels that encourages the community and consumers to take part in the brand's water replenishment commitment, supported by the Coca-Cola Foundation Thailand. In response to the brand's water stewardship program to safely return to communities and nature the amount of water equivalent to the production by 2020, Coca-Cola will return the same amount of water back to Thai communities and nature for every bottle of Namthip drinking water purchased. In addition, Coca-Cola will host 'RAKNAM with Namthip' volunteer activities at RAKNAM sites nationwide throughout the year.
