And that was also when in 1916, HRH Prince Chudadhuj, a student in Cambridge, purchased his Erard-style gold harp priced at GBP 70 and brought it back as Thailand's first harp. On Friday, July 17, Elinor Bennett Wales' foremost teacher and harpist, will give a recital "Golden Music on the Golden Harp" on the gold Chudadhuj Harp, which is celebrating its centenary next year. The examination will be held on the morning of Saturday, July 18 at the Siam Society and will be open to the public."
