THAI Cancels Flights from Bangkok-Denpasar Due to Mount Raung Volcano Eruption on Java Island

Bangkok--10 Jul--Thai Airways Today (10 July 2015), Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) cancelled flights from Bangkok-Denpasar in Bali as the erupting Mount Raung volcano on Java Island caused volcanic ash cloud to hover over the air space vicinity. As a result, on 10 July 2015, Denpasar International Airport on Bali Island announced that the airport will be temporarily closed until 21.30 hours (local time) and all airlines ceased flight departures and arrivals for flight safety. This situation affected the THAI's flights; and on 10 July 2015, the Company cancelled flight TG431 on the route Bangkok-Denpasar and flight TG432 on the route Denpasar- Bangkok. Once Denpasar International Airport announces its official reopening, the Company will resume normal flight operations. Normally, the Company operates one flight per day to and from Bangkok-Denpasar in Bali. Flight TG431 departs from Suvarnabhumi Airport at 09.20 hours and arrives in Denpasar at 14.40 hours (local time) and the return flight TG432 departs from Denpasar International Airport at 16.05 hours (local time) and arrives at Suvarnabhumi Airport at 19.15 hours.
