Bangkok--15 Jul--KASIKORNBANK
According to Mr. Predee Daochai, President of KASIKORNBANK, the Bank's major plans to improve its IT system this weekend will help provide better services to customers, currently totaling 15 million deposit accounts at KBank. As transactions at KBank have increased continuously, streamlining technology will better support the Bank's service innovations.
From Friday, July 17, 2015, 10.00 pm, to Sunday, July 19, 2015, 10.00 pm, KBank will temporarily suspend services for not longer than 48 hours across every channel, except for K-Credit Cards, which will remain operable for both domestic and international payments. For card accepting merchants using KBank's EDC machines and K-PowerP@y (mPOS) application, services will still be available, as usual.
Given that customers will not be able to, for example, deposit, withdraw and transfer funds into and out of their KBank accounts, the Bank advises customers to prepare sufficient cash for personal and business spending during the stated time. It would also be recommended to plan transactions with KBank in advance.
The system improvements will not affect customers' account data and there will be no changes in their account numbers whatsoever. All accounts will continue to receive interest normally.
