Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre recently launched its newest Event Hall, EH 107, which delivers a unique event space aimed at growing BITEC's market share in the consumer and live entertainment sector. The distinctive structure is defined by a magnificent curved ceiling reaching up to 13.5 m. at its highest point. The 90 m. long hall offers 3,600 sq.m. of event space and accommodates up to 3,000 people. With a modern and distinguished design, the hall can be adapted for any purpose, including a private and intimate celebration, a luxurious banquet, a cutting edge fashion show or concert.
According to Ms. Panittha Buri, the Managing Director of BITEC, "BITEC has secured its position over the last 17 years as the first choice venue in the region for world class trade exhibitions, consumer fairs and international conventions. Now, BITEC aims to grow further with a strategy geared towards attracting more live entertainment programs and concerts. Event Hall 107 is just the first step to achieving that goal."
BITEC already has a strong reputation among event organizers as an ideal multi-purpose venue that can support any style of event. In May 2015, BITEC achieved an overall occupancy rate of 71 percent. During the first 5 months of 2015, a total of 170 events were held at BITEC. Meetings and exhibitions represented 76 percent of these events while concerts and banquets account for the remaining 24 percent.
With the addition of the new event hall, the proportion of concerts and banquets from both international and domestic sources is expected to increase.
