Brio, Anantara Bangkok Riverside Resort & Spa's classic Italian restaurant, brings the seasonal freshness of chanterelles for its exclusive once-a-year menus and the opportunity to savour the summer tastes of Italian cuisine in a tropical oasis setting. Chef Alessandro Giustiniani, Brio's Chef de Cuisine selects the finest chanterelles to infuse in his signature Italian specialties for a variety of dishes that showcase the aromatic and flavourful depth of these coveted golden wild mushrooms. The promotion is available from 15th July 2015 through 31st August 2015.
Known as an excellent edible mushroom, the special chanterelle creations in authentic Italian appetizers at Brio feature 'Salad' – Mix of chanterelle, green leaf, parmesan shaves and cherry tomatoes with lemon oil dressing for THB 440++ and 'Crepe' – Soft crepe stuffed with chanterelle and ricotta, gratin with tomato sauce and parmesan cheese for THB 540++. Make excellent choices for the original taste with the main course of 'Pizza' – Homemade pizza with chanterelle, pancetta, leek and mascarpone for THB 540++, 'Risotto' – Risotto with chanterelle, smoked scamorza cheese and crunchy leeks for THB 600++ or the 'Pork Chop' – Pork chop served with chanterelle sauce, cauliflower puree and grilled vegetables for THB 800++.
Translating as "a homely and lively place", Brio embraces the warmth and energy of the Italian way of life wholeheartedly. Guests leave the resort's tropical Thai paradise behind to find themselves seated in a charming Tuscan style villa. A muted colour palette of terracotta, sandstone and brick is complemented by sepia prints and subtle aqua washes on the walls. Solid wooden dining tables are too exquisite to be covered, and are dressed simply to accentuate their natural grace. Touches of grandeur hang in the air, with a magnificent wrought iron chandelier proudly dominating the double height room. Hints of Italy's aromas and flavours are found nestled into dividing walls, created from extensive shelving and stacked high with Italian wine bottles.
