KASIKORNBANK has opened THE WISDOM Lounge @ Suvarnabhumi with the aim of raising brand awareness at the international level. Being the first financial institution to create a flagship lounge at Suvarnabhumi Airport, KBank aims to offer world-class privileges comparable to those of leading airlines. More than 200 customers are expected to enjoy the lounge every day.
Emeritus Khunying Suchada Kiranandana, Chairperson of the Operation Committee of Phufa Shop, presided over the opening of KASIKORNBANK’s THE WISDOM Lounge @ Suvarnabhumi. She was welcomed by Mr. Banthoon Lamsam, KASIKORNBANK Chairman of the Board, and Mr. Pakorn Partanapat, KASIKORNBANK Senior Executive Vice President.
Mr. Banthoon stated that KBank has developed its financial and investment service standards in order to consistently increase wealth for customers. THE WISDOM is a prestigious brand of KBank and has been well-received by Bank customers throughout the eight years since its introduction. The recent launch of THE WISDOM Lounge @ Suvarnabhumi has made KBank the first financial institution to open a flagship lounge at Suvarnabhumi Airport.
THE WISDOM Lounge @ Suvarnabhumi will accommodate all lifestyles and provides a superior experience to THE WISDOM customers, who routinely travel for business and leisure. Its key attribute is providing excellent choices with world-class services, comparable to the world’s leading airlines, to create happiness and comfort for customers. Opening the lounge at Suvarnabhumi Airport will make THE WISDOM and KASIKORNBANK well-known brands at the international level, ahead of AEC+3 inception.
THE WISDOM Lounge @ Suvarnabhumi is at Concourse A, 3rd Floor, Suvarnabhumi Airport. The “Luxury Travel” themed lounge, in a 324-sq.-m. space, is decorated with colors and luxurious materials that reflect THE WISDOM services. The Bank’s symbol of rice sheaves inspired and was incorporated into the interior decor. It was given a modern and stylish makeover consistent with the airport’s architecture. The guilloche ornamentation — a symbol of wealth and wisdom — is also utilized in the decor, and the lounge is divided into the following three major zones:
Lobby Area — for customer reception
Personal Pod — for customers to access internet services or for private business meetings
Relaxing Area — for reading and relaxation, where specially-prepared food and beverages are served. This area also houses products from Phufa Shop and showcases special-edition products from KBank’s business allies.
“This lounge is not only a rest area during transit, but it also reflects the strengths of our ‘THE WISDOM’ and ‘KASIKORNBANK’ brands that offer ‘step-ahead’ services on the international level,” added Mr. Banthoon.
There are currently 105 THE WISDOM lounges, under various themes, in 45 locations throughout the Bangkok metropolitan area and 60 major provinces, as well as at Kasikornthaibank Limited (Lao PDR), the first KBank THE WISDOM Center abroad. There are 128,000 THE WISDOM customers, with a total of 1.2 trillion Baht of assets under management (AUM). Of the total, 67.0 percent of customers are from the Bangkok metropolitan area, and 33.0 percent are from provincial locations. During 2015, KBank plans to enhance its already-excellent services for the current positive proportional customer base. The Bank also aims to increase its percentage of customers in major cities and provinces outside Bangkok to 35.0 percent, and upsize AUM to 1.3 trillion Baht. Another plan involves opening more THE WISDOM centers across the country.
