ONYX Hospitality Group has made a total contribution worth more than 450,000 THB to support UNICEF’s Nepal Earthquake Children’s Appeal. Following the initial donation of 100,000 THB, ONYX’s corporate offices and its properties in Thailand and overseas raised the additional funds through the group’s fundraising activities, such as an auction, a flea market and T-shirt sale.
After the devastating earthquake disrupted the lives of over 1.7 million children last April, the ONYX Hospitality Group Foundation donated 100,000 THB for an emergency fund towards the appeal. Following this, all properties across ONYX’s portfolio – under all brands, Amari, OZO and Shama – including those located in Thailand and overseas, and the corporate offices, organised the fundraising activities to support UNICEF’s Nepal Earthquake Children’s Appeal. It is still a long road to recovery for the earthquake victims, and ONYX’s donations of over 450,000 THB help fund UNICEF’s work in providing immediate life-saving care and long-term support such as food, water and health kits to the children and their families.
