Honda Automobile (Thailand) Co., Ltd. is inviting Thai students in grades one to six nationwide to unleash their creativities in “Honda Super Idea Contest 2015”, an annual idea contest which emphasizes on both fascinating concepts and sparkling imagination. The contest features the theme of “Kids Rock the World” encourages primary school pupils to submit their ideas for inventions or innovations that should benefit the society in the future. The winner will be awarded with H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn plaque, a scholarship, and a great opportunity to represent Thailand in an educational and cultural exchange programme, entitled “Honda Super Idea’s Kids Camp” in Japan. Young talents’ super ideas can be submitted from now until 7 August 2015.
Consecutively organized for over a decade, the 11th Honda Super Idea Contest 2015, is an annual imaginative and creative idea contest with its well-known reputation as a national stage in which primary school students can express their inventive ideas. Every year, young talents from the Honda Super Idea Contest will learn and develop their skills of lateral thinking, and presenting their ingenious creativities. At the first year until now, there have been over 326,870 striking ideas from more than 2,000 schools nationwide. This year, under the theme of “Kids Rock the World”, the contest currently opens for fresh and exciting ideas on inventive design for the future which could benefit the society such as natural disaster prevention and mitigation, environmental conservation, as well as road safety.
Forty finalists will have a significant opportunity to present their creativities via the second season of “Super Ideas: Kids Rock the World” TV programme, aired across the kingdom on Workpoint TV. The winner will be awarded with H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn plaque, a scholarship and a great opportunity to represent Thailand in an educational and cultural exchange programme, entitled “Honda Super Idea’s Kids Camp” in Japan, worth 100,000 THB.
Entry Information
1st Round “My Dreams”: Drawing an idea on provided “Application Form of Imagination” with a brief inspiration. Submission date is now until 7 August 2015.
2nd Round: Shortlisted contestants will be notified and will present their ideas in a short video clip. The deadline is on 20 August 2015.
3rd Round “My Dream Come True”: Joining a creative workshop of art and invention as well as presentation skill. Financial support will be offered for creating an invention model. The workshop is on 2 September 2015.
Final Round: Demonstrating the ideas by the finalists via the “Super Ideas: Kids Rock the World” TV programme during October to December 2015.
Entry Conditions
1. Solo applicants must be a primary student under the age of 12.
2. Applicants can submit more than one idea.
3. Applicants must submit inventive ideas and provide accurate personal information.
4. Finalists from the 3rd round of “My Dream Come True”, must be able to present their own creative ideas.
