Mr. Richard Jones, representing Indorama Ventures PCL (IVL) attended the FCCT photography contest of which IVL is a sponsor. The event was presided over by H.E. Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul, the Minister of Tourism and Sports of Thailand. The photography contest is organised by the Foreign Correspondents Club of Thailand (FCCT) annually. It is the premier foreign correspondent’s club in the region to give awards for the best photos of the year. As the largest sponsor of the competition, a special prize given by IVL in the category ‘Environment’ was granted this year for the first time. The award was given to Mr. Ruben Salgado Escudero for the series of solar portraits in Myanmar. The other two honorable mention awards were granted to Mr. Danilo O. Victoriano Jr. for his photograph of a community in Barangay Aglao in Philippines and to Mr. Narenda Shrestha for the picture of a Nepalese pupil hugging a tree on World Environment Day.
