Photo Release: Daikin leads Thai air-conditioner manufacturers to R32 refrigerant conversion

Bangkok--20 Aug--Penner-Madison ML Puntrik Smiti, director general of the Department of Skill Development at the Ministry of Labour (2ndrow, centre), and Bundit Srivallapanondh (2nd row, 2nd right),managing director of Siam Daikin Sales Co Ltd, presented certificates to representatives of 11Thai air-conditioner manufacturers who participated in the training for “Technical Support on Thailand’s R32 Refrigerant Conversion Project”. Representatives of government industrial bodies and other relevant associations were also present as official observers. The event was arranged at Samutprakan Institute for Skill Development Region 1. Daikin Group, as the first manufacturer in Thailand to adopt the R32 refrigerant, is operating the training by providing personnel, technical advice and equipment for the 11 Thai manufacturers in transition from the R22 refrigerant, which causes ozone depletion, to the R32 refrigerant, which has non-ozone depletion. The multilateral fund was agreed for Thailand to apply the new R32 refrigerant and stop producing the R22 air-conditioner model by 2017. In the photo (2nd row from left): 1.
