International energy publication, Power Engineering International (PEi), has announced the winners of this year's Power Projects of the Year, which seeks to highlight the best in power plant construction and engineering across the Asian region. The awards were presented at a Gala Dinner as part of POWER-GEN Asia and Renewable Energy World Asia in Bangkok on the evening of Tuesday 1 September, 2015.
The four awards categories were Best Distributed Generation Project, awarded to Amata Power - For Amata City Industrial Estate, Thailand; Best Gas Fired Power Project, awarded to S-Power - For Ansan CHP Plant, South Korea; Best Coal Fired Power Project, awarded to AES-VCM Mong Duong Power Co. Ltd - For Mong Duong II Power Plant, Vietnam; and Best Renewable Energy Project, awarded to Burgos Wind Farm, Philippines.
