Bangkok--15 Sep--Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok joins this year's Clean Up the World Campaign by working closely with the Bangrak District, its neighbours, local businesses, temples and school to tidy up the street in Soi Wat Suan Plu all the way to the Jael Aeng Beal Chinese Temple on Friday, 18 September 2015 at 9 a.m. The hotel and seven other luxury riverside hotels join the global movement and become a local conservationist to tidy streets, spruce up green space and remove rubbish from the canals that run into the Chao Phraya River. Clean Up the World is a community based environmental campaign that inspires and empowers communities from every corner of the globe to clean up, fix up and conserve their environment. Now in its 22nd year, Clean Up the World, held in conjunction with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), mobilises an estimated 35 million volunteers from 130 countries annually, making it one of the largest community-based environmental campaigns in the world.
