Thai Entrepreneurs’ Engagement in AEC

Bangkok--17 Sep--Brand Now At a recent panel of discussion hosted by School of Entrepreneurship and Management (BUSEM) at Bangkok University, distinguished guests had an interesting dialogue on the subject of Thai Entrepreneurs' Engagement in AEC. BUSEM presented Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) findings and some interesting facts include: In ASEAN, Thailand has a nearly even proportion of men and women entrepreneurs. On entrepreneurial intentions, nearly a quarter of the population plan to start a business in the next 3 years and Thai business owners says 93% of their customers are based in Thailand. "The last point highlights that Thai businesses require support to internationalize their marketing and operations to expand beyond the Thai border and be an active member of AEC" said Pacharee Pantoomano, founder of Entrepreneurnow.asia, an exciting awards program recognizing enterprising people and team operating in Thailand.
