The 3rd International Seminar and Business Matching on Increasing Silk Sector's Competitiveness through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) was held in Khon Kaen on 9-10 September 2015. Over 200 silk producers, exporters, retails, silk technologist and experts attended the event to deliberate on key issues on silk technology and market. At this special event, Mr. Khamtorn Thavornsatit, Khon Kaen Provincial Governor, and Mr. Madhurjya Kumar Dutta, Manager of Trade and Investment Facilitation Program, Mekong Institute (MI) signed the 'Declaration of Asia Silk Alliance', a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU),to form the ASIA Silk Alliance that brings together stakeholders in the ASIA silk industry.
