Bangkok--2 Oct--The Okura Prestige Bangkok
Mixologists at The Okura Prestige Bangkok have created a series of cocktails that reflect the changing colours across Japan's Autumn landscape.
The process of this colour change is known as K?y? in Japan. Marc Bittner, our Head Sommelier, explains "We begin the K?y? process with 'Green', made from Kitaoka pear sake, green tea-infused gin, fresh pear and vanilla flavouring, while the 'Red' cocktail combines Mezcal with candied apple, caramel and K?y? leaves. The 'Yellow' cocktail is a mix of Suntory kakubin, salted maple syrup and fresh apricot juice. Finally, as the leaves turn brown before falling from the trees, we present our final K?y? cocktail 'Brown' that's a subtle blend of bourbon whiskey, fresh apple and anise syrup with roasted cinnamon apples."
The two non-alcoholic mocktails added to the new K?y? drinks menu at Up & Above Bar are pumpkin smoothie (made from pumpkin, Earl Grey syrup, cream and grated nutmeg; and strawberry/rhubarb soda with K?y? leaves.
All drinks on the K?y? menu at Up & Above Bar are available daily from 11:00 am – 1:00 am, now until 30 November 2015. Cocktails priced at Baht 475++ and Mocktails priced at Baht 250++.
