The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), together with Auerbach Grayson and Company LLC and KT Zmico Securities Co., Ltd., will organize the roadshow "Thailand's New Economy", in New York, the United States during October 7-8, 2015 with ten Thai listed firms to present to global institutional investors on their strengths and potential growth.
SET President Kesara Manchusree said, "Key topics on the roadshow will be Thailand's economy and the effectiveness of the Thai stock market, as well as the strengths of ten listed companies. These companies will present information directly to investors in one-on-one meetings and group meetings, namely Amata Corporation pcl (AMATA), Central Pattana pcl (CPN), Gunkul Engineering pcl (GUNKUL), Intouch Holdings pcl (INTUCH), IRPC pcl (IRPC), Krung Thai Bank pcl (KTB), Krungthai Card pcl (KTC), Nok Airlines pcl (NOK), PlanB Media pcl (PLANB) and Srisawad Power 1979 pcl (SAWAD). They have a combined market capitalization of THB 868 billion (approx. 24 billion USD), as of October 2, 2015, accounting for 6.85 percent of the total market value. The U.S. investment funds investing in Thai equities representing 4.5 percent of the Thai bourse's total market capitalization."
Kesara added that the outbound roadshow was one of SET's strategic plans to expand foreign investor base whichtop executives of the listed firms would present first-hand information directly to foreign investors in order to gainmore confidence on Thai listed firms' potential.
This year SET organizes four outbound roadshows, focusing on global investment hubs in Europe, USA and Asia. To wrap up this year's roadshows, SET will organize the annual inbound roadshow called "Thailand Focus 2015"during December 2-4 by inviting foreign fund managers worldwide to meet Thai listed companies for the insights and outlook of the Thai capital market and economy.
