The Thai Condominium Association, the Thai Real Estate Association, and the Housing Business Association are bringing more than 200 real-estate developers and over 10 financial institutes to the 33rd House and Condo Show in their joint bid to spur the market during the last few months of the year. Expressing confidence in their industry's positive trend, the three associations announce they will hold the big fair at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center between October 8 and October 11, 2015.
Dr.Apa Ataboonwongse, the chair of the organizing committee for the 33rd House and Condo Show, says the real-estate industry has continued to see positive signs in late 2015. She points out that the country's overall economy has clearly rebounded with a weaker baht shoring up exports and tourism enjoying constant growth. According to her, the intense use of available government budget ahead of the end of 2014 fiscal year in September has also stimulated the economy lately. Other favorable factors include government plans to expand mass-transit systems as well as roads, and also to integrate transportation and logistics systems. All these moves are designed to accommodate urban growth, industrial expansion and the ASEAN Economy Community (AEC). The government, she points out, has even pushed for the establishment of special economic zones. "All these moves benefit the real-estate sector as they usher urban development to new areas paving way for new housing zones to emerge. Real-estate developers can then invest in more areas," Dr.Apa says.
She adds that, "Importantly, the Finance Ministry is going to introduce short-term measures to stimulate the real-estate sector too. To be announced in one week, these measures are expected to relax financial institutes' housing-loan approval criteria in a way that helps homebuyers who may have difficulty getting loans. It is also possible that the Finance Ministry will reduce ownership-transfer and leasing fees. It may even introduce some tax measures. On top of this, the Monetary Policy Committee has already resolved to maintain the current interest rates for the purposes of spurring the overall economy and easing people's financial burden in repaying their housing loans".
Dr. Apa says, "In organizing the 33rd House and Condo Show, we have confidence that our event is scheduled to take place at a very good time due to the all aforementioned factors. Homebuyers and investors indeed will find golden opportunities at the upcoming House and Condo Show. On top of all the above favorable factors, they will also find out that property prices have not yet increased because construction cost and land prices have remained the same lately. Consumers can thus have confidence about their purchase decisions. It is quite common for people to plan house buying around the end of the year anyway. At the 33rd House and Condo Show, more than 200 developers will offer tempting promotions at their booths. More than 10 financial institutes have also joined in, offering special housing-loan conditions that will make it easier than ever to buy a property. We expect the 33rd House and Condo Show to attract more than 100,000 visitors and generate the sales of over Bt3billion during the event. Related sales in the post-event period, meanwhile, will very likely be about two or three times higher".
Mr. Waradhapob Padhayanun, chief PR for the 33rd house and Condo Show, says the upcoming event is held under the concept of "Great Location, Great Price, Comprehensive Range of Choices, and the Right Answer for Your Needs" so as to assure customers that their every need will be fulfilled at the 33rd House and Condo Show. According to him, the event will showcase more than 1,000 property projects. Sitting on prime locations in various zones of the country, these projects will come to the fair with special promotions that customers will never find somewhere else. Their products are available at various price ranges, offering visitors an impressive variety of choices. Buyers at the 33rd House and Condo Show will get a lucky-draw ticket for every Bt300,000 purchase too. The draw will hand out Bt1million discount coupon voucher plus Panasonic electrical appliances worth about Bt300,000. The 33rd House and Condo Show will run from October 8 to October 11, 2015, on the first and second floors of Zone C and Plaza of the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.
