Bangkok--12 Oct--SEC
The SEC is seeking public comments on the proposed revision to the crowdfunding rules, which have been effective since May 2015.
The revision aims to meet the following objectives:
1) To specify that only limited companies and non-listed public companies are eligible for the crowdfunding model;
2) To grant oversubscription upon meeting certain requirements;
3) To increase the types of escrow agents permissible for crowdfunding portals; and
4) To allow non-retail investors and crowdfunding portals to form a mutual agreement on selection of escrow agent.
The consultation paper is available on www.sec.or.th. Stakeholders and interested parties are welcome to submit comments through the website, or facsimile at 0-2263-6308 or email:
[email protected].
The public hearing ends on October 30, 2015.
