Bangkok--12 Oct--KASIKORNBANK
KASIKORNBANK and mPay have launched the "Transfer Made Easy, Collect Money at mPAY STATIONs" service, allowing customers to use K-Mobile Banking PLUS and transfer money to recipients who – with or without a KBank account – can collect transferred money at over 4,500 mPAY STATIONs nationwide, a service that is not only convenient and fast but also secure.
Mr. Thawee Teerasoontornwong, Executive Vice President of KBank, said that KBank has always worked hard to develop digital banking, especially mobile banking, which has grown steadily, given its ability to satisfy today's tech-savvy customers in search of convenient and fast service.
Recently, KBank and Advanced mPAY Co., Ltd. – a subsidiary of AIS Group and a provider of electronic wallet and e-commerce platforms – together introduced the "Transfer Made Easy, Collect Money at mPAY STATIONs" service. Customers can transfer funds via K-Mobile Banking PLUS and have the recipients pick up the money at over 4,500 mPAY STATIONs nationwide; recipients do not have to be KBank account holders.
The system is simple: The sender of funds, a K-Mobile Banking PLUS user, logs into the system and clicks "Transfer", followed by "Cash Out". By entering the recipient's ID and phone number, and the cash amount, and clicking "Confirm", the system will send a REF1 code to the recipient. The sender of funds, upon receiving a REF2 code, then provides that code to the recipient as well.
Regarding money collection, the recipient may contact an mPAY STATION representative at any branch, during operating hours, for collection. To collect the money, recipients must present their ID card and provide the REF1 and REF2 codes. Transaction limit is 5,000 Baht per transfer and 30,000 Baht per day, per account, for any number of transfers. There is a fee of 40-60 Baht per transaction.
Mr. Thawee added that the "Transfer Made Easy, Collect Money at mPAY STATIONs" service will facilitate KBank customers, who can now transfer money at any time and from any place, without undue requirements for recipients. With the recipient having to provide their ID card along with two reference codes as proof, users can be assured of the system's security. Recipients without accurate codes, which are valid for five calendar days, will not be permitted to collect money. If the money is not collected within five calendar days, the Bank will transfer the funds back into the sender's account within five business days after the code expiry date. The "Transfer Made Easy, Collect Money at mPAY STATIONs" service is available with K-Mobile Banking PLUS from today. More information on this service is available at the K-Contact Center, 02-888-8888.
According to Mr. Supreecha Limpikanjanakowit, Managing Director of Advanced mPAY Co., Ltd., mPAY STATIONs are payment service centers with over 4,500 branches in communities nationwide. This helps make money transfers much easier, especially for recipients who now have a money pickup point which is safely accessible, with standard services offered.
