Thai bourse announces winning team of 2015 university-level economic contest

Bangkok--12 Oct--SET The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), together with a partners, has announced the winners of "The Diamond Crown in Economics" contest 2015, with a student team from Chulalongkorn University receiving the HRH Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn Cup. SET President Kesara Manchusree said moving towards the fifth decade, SET aimed to drive economic and social sustainability. As such, this annual contest, organized by SET and prestigious partners for the seventh year, focused on providing economic and personal finance knowledge necessary to form a firm foundation among youth, leading towards sustainable economy. This year's university-level competition held on October 11, in Bangkok, could attract 181 participating teams from 52 universities nationwide. The "Three Little Pigs" team from Faculty of Economics, Chulalongkorn University, the gold medal winning team, consisted of: Bulaporn Limnantarak , Chuya-ut Praipruek , Natthakit Krityothin. In addition to the HRH Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn Cup, the winning team was also awarded the gold medals, certificates and scholarships. They were also granted a special study trip abroad, to be accompanied by their lecturers. This year's youth competition was supported by Romchatra Foundation, the Ministry of Education, Chulalongkorn University's Faculty of Economics, Satriwithaya 2 School, Thai Life Assurance Association, The Crown Property Bureau, Siam Commercial Bank Economic Intelligence Center, Capital Market Development Fund Foundation and President Bakery pcl.
