Mr. Minoru Hagiwara (Middle row , the 4th from left), Vice Chairman of Mitsubishi Electric Thai Foundation; Mr. Osamu Kochi (Middle row, the 3rd from left), Director and Secretary of Mitsubishi Electric Thai Foundation; Mr. Masayuki Saito (Middle row, the 3rd from right), Director and Vice Secretary of Mitsubishi Electric Thai Foundation; and Mr. Ryoji Ando (Middle row , the 4th from right), Managing Director of Mitsubishi Electric Asia (Thailand) Co., Ltd., hosted a ceremony to grant obligation-free scholarships to students of the Faculty of Engineering from 4 universities in Thailand, including Chulalongkorn University, Thammasat University, Kasetsart University and Chiang Mai University. A total of 20 scholarships were given, each for 20,000 Baht, for a total of 400,000 Baht. These funds are to support underprivileged students due to financial difficulties, so that they can apply their knowledge for the benefit of society and nation in the future. This program reflects an ongoing community initiative by Mitsubishi Electric Thai Foundation that is now in its 22nd year. The ceremony was recently held in the Persimmon room, Floor 11, Banyan Tree Hotel, South Sathorn Road, Bangkok.
