Banpu and Mahidol kick off 10th Power Green Camp to foster a new generation of biodiversity minds

Bangkok--13 Oct--Hill+Knowlton Strategies Banpu Public Company Limited, led by Mrs. Udomlux Olarn, Head of Corporate Affairs, (front row, 2nd from left) together with Mahidol University's Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, led by Associate Professor Rattanawat Chaiyarat, President of the 10th Power Green Camp, (front row, far right) and Associate Professor Dr. Sura Pattanakiat (front row, far left), Acting Deputy Dean for Research Administration, Academic Service and Information Technology, Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, officially kick off this year's camp under the theme of 'Biodiversity for Environmental Development and Sustainability' to encourage students to learn about biological diversity as an important mechanism for driving the country forward. During 12-19 October, 70 students with science majors in Grades 11 and 12 from across the country will participate in a number of 'Learning by Doing' activities in both theory and practice aspects on the theme of biodiversity, including a field trip to Khao Kheow – Khao Chompoo Wildlife Sanctuary and The Nature Education Center for Mangrove Conservation and Ecotourism in Chonburi before presenting their group project to win scholarships worth 30,000 baht in total. Outstanding students will win a trip to further study biodiversity in Indonesia.
