Bangkok--14 Oct--neo target Trisara is the first resort in Thailand to leverage virtual reality technology for showcasing its villas like never before to travel agents and potential guests Trisara, which is owned and managed by Montara Hospitality Group, is making use of the latest Virtual Reality (VR) technology available on the market to showcase its world class resort property, bringing viewers closer and more personal to the resort without actually being there. Trisara was recognized for the innovative application of virtual reality experience when they received the award for "Best Presentation" out of 400 hotels by a leading travel advisor during the first day of the 27th annual Virtuoso Travel Week event held in Las Vegas, United States. The event welcomed over 4,000 industry professionals from 90 countries around the world, providing the opportunity for attendees to network and share innovative ways to improve travel experiences for their guests. Trisara also featured the virtual reality experience at a media and trade partner event in Shanghai "A Taste of Trisara in Shanghai" which brought together 80 leading life style media and travel agents. Media and agents were seen reaching out for the infinity-edge swimming pool in delight as they experienced Trisara's virtual reality through Samsung's Gear VR goggles. Since Facebook recently announced that its News Feed will begin to support 360-degree videos on Android, web and iOS in the near feature, Trisara has plans to share its 360-degree virtual reality video of the uber luxury resort on its Facebook page. Their goal is to give potential guests the feeling of being at the resort in Phuket wherever they may actually be. Facebook users will be able to hold up their mobile phones, move around, and watch as the video moves with them, showing every angle of the resort's luxurious pool villas, world-class restaurant and breathtaking view of the beach. "Virtual Reality represents a wonderful opportunity to enhance the customer journey for a hospitality business. For trade partners, an immersive VR experience provides a much better feel for a property than traditional slideshows or videos. In addition to our trade partners, potential guests can enjoy VR content via platforms such as Facebook and YouTube as they literally look around the resort in anticipation of their trip. At Trisara, in-house guests can even expect to capture a virtual reality experience of their own stay to share with their loved ones at home starting this November," said Kittisak Pattamasaevi, V.P. Sales and Marketing, Montara Hospitality Group. Early adopters of Virtual Reality goggles such as Samsung Gear VR can download Trisara's VR experience here: http://bit.ly/DownloadTrisaraVR .
